The Situation: Pricing components appear on the product level pages of SAP.com
The Challenge: Create a pricing component for a software project that will enable users to easily compare packages and pricing and help them make a buying decision. The existing design lacked clarity, leading to user confusion and a high bounce rate during the pricing exploration phase. Users struggled to understand the value propositions associated with different pricing tiers.
Desired user action: Take the next step towards a buying decision (try/buy/contact us)
My Role: As the UI / UX designer for the project, my role involved conducting an in-depth analysis of user feedback, interacting with customer support data, and collaborating with the product and marketing teams. I aimed to redesign the pricing component overview and comparison table to provide a seamless and transparent experience for users.
Results:
1. Clarity in Pricing Structure: The redesigned pricing component overview provided a clear breakdown of features and pricing for each tier, reducing user confusion and increasing understanding of the product's value proposition.
2. Improved Comparison Table: The pricing comparison table underwent a transformation with enhanced visual hierarchy, making it easier for users to compare features across different plans.
Through collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams, the redesigned pricing component overview and pricing comparison table not only addressed user pain points but also positively impacted user understanding, engagement, and increase in selection of try/buy and contact us CTAs.
